In a bid to make Ashford town centre a cleaner and more pleasant place to visit, a total of 80 new refuse and recycling bins have been installed.

Multi-use refuse bins now take bagged dog waste, giving dog owners more chances to responsibly dispose of their pet’s deposits. The council hopes the new bins will also help tackle dog fouling in the town centre and keep it looking clean and tidy.

The refuse bins also have integrated ashtrays which will reduce the amount of cigarette litter within the town centre.

Visitors also have the chance to recycle when they are out and about in town by using the new recycling waste bins.
